VH1 Save The Music, “Art Out Loud,” June 2017
VH1 Save The Music works to give every public school student the opportunity to make music as part of their education. Since 1997, the organization has donated over $50 million of musical instruments to over 2,000 schools nationwide, impacting the lives of more than a million students. During that time, we’ve seen firsthand that music has a unique power to make students and schools more successful. To celebrate our 20th anniversary, VH1 Save The Music and Gibson USA have brought together innovative visual artists with musical artists to create 20 one-of-a-kind Gibson Les Paul guitars. Each guitar showcases an inspiring combination of artistic, musical and guitar-making creativity. The guitars will be on display this summer in New York, Nashville and Los Angeles, and then auctioned this fall to raise funds to benefit VH1 Save The Music. Overall, the project should fund new musical instruments for more than a dozen schools.
